Introducing Two New Funds From The A+ Foundation!

 

The A+ Foundation For West Aurora Schools has established two new funds within the Community Foundation.

The A+ Foundation for West Aurora Schools High School Science Fund was created to honor Richard “Dick” Ebeling, a retired West Aurora science educator. This fund supports the purchasing of new science and technology equipment and structural changes to science classrooms for better learning.

A+ Foundation for West Aurora Schools Reading Initiative Fund was established to support West Aurora School District’s Literacy Through the Arts After-School Program. Literacy Through the Arts utilizes poetry, music, and visual arts as avenues to increase student achievement in reading.

We chose the Community Foundation because of its reputation. It’s well known, established and we can trust them to do the job for us.

As a first-generation college student from a low-income family, I was worried about how I was going to pay for books and supplies. This scholarship will allow me to focus more on my studies instead of worrying about how to afford college.
