Jack Morcos Memorial Golf Classic to Benefit Breaking Free

June 1, 2017 @ 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm

The 10th Annual Jack Morcos Memorial Golf Classic will take place on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at beautiful Orchard Valley Golf Course.  All proceeds will benefit the programs of Breaking Free, a local not-for-profit human services agency that strengthens families one person at a time through education, prevention and counseling focused on child abuse and neglect, alcohol and drug abuse, juvenile delinquency and mental health.

The golf classic honors Aurora businessman and philanthropist Jack Morcos for his passionate commitment to helping others in our community as well as his steadfast support of Breaking Free’s mission.  As an avid golfer, he was committed to ensuring that the Annual Golf Classic was successful. Because of that commitment, the Board of Directors chose to celebrate his life and love of the Aurora area by naming the event after him.  The Board is honored to continue the celebration of Jack’s legacy with this 10th Annual Event supported each year by his family.

As a first-generation college student from a low-income family, I was worried about how I was going to pay for books and supplies. This scholarship will allow me to focus more on my studies instead of worrying about how to afford college. I am working to not only create opportunities for myself but to motivate future generations. Thank you so much for helping me along this journey!

A community foundation is a donor-driven organization that helps donors custom-design funds that reflect their charitable interests. Through the years, grants from these funds have made a significant impact on our local communities.
