Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley Helps the Geneva History Center Make Much Needed Repairs
During the spring thaw, a drainage device at the Geneva History Center failed, resulting damage to the History Center’s classroom and an exhibition gallery. The Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley recently awarded a grant of $5,000 to the Geneva History Center to help the museum make much needed repairs to the building.
With support from the Community Foundation, the History Center was able to work with Driessen Construction to repair the damaged walls in the exhibition gallery and classroom and replace two rotting windows. In addition, support from the Community Foundation allowed the History Center to work with Malcor Roofing to repair a roof leak.
On behalf of the Board, staff, volunteers and members of the Geneva History Center, we sincerely thank the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley for helping us to make this critical repairs.
