The Aurora Public Library Foundation was created in 2001 to establish a legacy of philanthropy for the Aurora Public Library through the support of innovative programs, services and modern facilities.
The foundation supports the library’s mission to encourage lifelong learning and access to information, knowledge and ideas.
Governed by a volunteer board of directors, the foundation is classified as an independent, non-profit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization.
The Aurora Public Library Foundation Endowment Fund was established within the Community Foundation to provide financial assistance for additional resources which will enhance and enrich the library.
The income of the fund is available to assist this charitable organization.
The Aurora Public Library has been serving the public since 1881. The main library (featured above) is located in downtown Aurora. Two other facilities are located on Eola Road and Constitution Drive.
