These scholarships were created by the former West Aurora High School Alumni Association. This organization merged with the Foundation for the West Aurora Schools in 2008 to form the A+ Foundation for West Aurora Schools.
Scholarships from the fund provide awards to one male student and one female student each year who are graduating from West Aurora High School. The scholarships are reserved for students who rank in the top twenty percent of their graduating class.
In addition, candidates must have demonstrated strong loyalty, pride and commitment to West Aurora High School by their involvement in multiple activities such as music, drama, athletics, school ambassadors, student council, tutoring, mediation or other leadership endeavors.
Students must be continuing their studies at an accredited two-year college or four-year college or university. These scholarships are awarded through the Community Foundation Scholarship Program.
West Aurora High School Alumni are encouraged to support the college education of talented graduates of West High through financial support of these scholarships.
